Week of 3/10 and 3/17
Work Updates
Motion: Storyboarded the motion advertisement, created more icons to add motion, and began animating elements for ad.
Fabrication: Fabricated full scale prototype V1. The base is made from MDF (medium-density fiberboard) with borders made from wood. It was then painted black. The connection holes were created with a drill and chisel. The size is about 1.5X1.5 ft for the square pieces. I embedded magnets in the two straight-aways as an example of how obstacles could lock with metal layered beneath the turf. After spray-gluing on the turf, I spray painted the logo on the end-cap piece and showed off some of the different layouts.
Engineered the connection part: We pivoted again to a simpler angled bracket clasp that should work much more efficiently and be cheaper to manufacture.
Website: Created the sitemap. John Boran thinks it will be more beneficial to create a prototype on Figma to display all of my aspirations for this product rather than Squarespace.
Pitching: Attended a pitch coaching session for Aggie Pitch and took part in an investor meeting at Catalena Ranch partnering with 1876 ventures. It was a great opportunity to connect and display my work.

Discussed my pitch presentation for Friday's investor meeting on what to prioritize and effective ways of presenting information. Encouraged me to use Figma for the website build and to reach out to independent sporting companies such as Spikeball.
