Week of 2/17
Work Updates
Logo rework: Instead of simply skewing the logo diagonally and having the "C" and "e" especially look distorted, I individually manipulated the characters using a diagonal guideline. The placement of the icon and subtext also utilized a rule of thirds grid to have more purpose behind their placement.
Revisited joinery research: I looked into different types of joinery systems, both ones I have tested in the past and new methods. One that really Inspired me was Lovesac's sectional connection system where it uses a simple clamp system. Our V2 design was a little too complex to manufacture, so we were looking for a simpler solution. We are now going into a spring loaded clamp system on the sides of the modules that offers a sleek and easy method to connect course pieces.
Manufacturer research: I found 7 companies that could be potential options to request manufacturing quotes from to see how much it would cost to actually produce a product like this. I will reach out to them with our CAD models once finished, and try to tour some Texas based facilities to see what the process looks like.
Created pitch deck: I got a head start and put a short pitch deck together that focuses on value proposition and investments.

Critique Notes (2/13)
- Reach out to tour manufacturing companies
- Consider how to join 2 pieces together before the side clamp, and then use the spring loaded system as more of a securing system.
