Sync is a set of interactive visual environments programmed to respond to piano input and sound using Touch Designer. Sync takes in MIDI input from the keys of a piano and sounds from music being played and synthesizes unique and vibrant visuals to accompany it. This interactive piece aims to enhance musical performances to create captivating experiences.

The user interface was added to our project during Milestone 2 in order to combine the different interactive visuals being created into a cohesive system for the user to control. We wanted this interface to be easy to navigate and understand, and allow the user to have variables to play with in order to make the visuals a little more customized to their liking.
The first iteration of the interface was created within illustrator in order to first understand what the user may need and allow for quick iterations. Those mockups were then replicated within TouchDesigner. I started off with simple color blocking in order to build the framework of the interface using containers within containers.

We wrapped up this project with showcases at Texas A&M Visualization's end of year show, Viz-a-Gogo. My team and I wrote an extensive design document that covers some of research, planning, and process that got us to our final result
