During my 2 Graphic Design internships at Lockheed Martin, I developed both technical and soft skills through diverse projects that combined classroom knowledge with real-world application. Leading the Intern All-Hands event sharpened my leadership, organization, and communication abilities as I managed creative direction and logistical planning while collaborating with senior leadership.
I also explored new design areas, including motion graphics and fabrication. Creating animations for the event ignited my interest in motion design as a potential career path, while hands-on fabrication work, like laser-cutting medals, expanded my skills into tangible design applications.
These experiences, along with projects ranging from internal branding to external campaigns, provided a well-rounded perspective on professional design, strengthening my leadership and creative abilities while refining my technical expertise.

Community Relations Animation
I collaborated with an art director to create a motion graphic animation for the Community Relations group at Lockheed Martin, aimed at increasing internal awareness among employees. I began by designing all the style frames in Illustrator, ensuring they were on-brand before importing them into After Effects for animation. Together, we crafted a visually dynamic piece that clearly communicated the group’s initiatives and encouraged employee participation. This project allowed me to refine my skills in both graphic design and motion graphics while partnering with an experienced mentor to deliver an impactful internal communication campaign.

Armed Forces Bowl 2024
A highlight of my internship was designing for the Armed Forces Bowl, sponsored by Lockheed Martin. Collaborating on a concept selected by ESPN, I expanded it into a suite of materials, including digital signage, website graphics, and campaign assets. The project required balancing creative innovation with consistency across deliverables, all while adhering to strict brand and event guidelines.
The scale of this project was both challenging and rewarding, providing insight into high-stakes, collaborative design work. It also deepened my understanding of how to adapt and execute a unified vision for a major national event.

Cinematic Concepts and Tactile Textures
For the Armed Forces Bowl, I crafted high-impact concepts using overlaid effects to create a dramatic, cinematic tone. Incorporating tactile textures emphasized the raw intensity of the game, blending sophistication with the rugged spirit of competition to resonate with the event's dynamic audience.

Adapting to Different Creative Directions
Working under a high-impact creative direction developed by another designer, I balanced maintaining their vision with my own problem-solving. This experience challenged me to adapt and innovate within set parameters, enhancing my collaborative and technical design abilities.
Intern All-Hands 2024
Leading the Intern All-Hands event was a pivotal experience that showcased my leadership, creativity, and organizational skills. Collaborating with the integrated communications intern, I developed the event theme, pitched it to senior leadership, and managed all creative aspects, including design, fabricated prizes, run-of-show, and coordination with all participants.
This high-profile event required precise logistical planning, from coordinating with senior executives to ensuring inclusivity for in-person and virtual attendees. Despite technical challenges, the event ran seamlessly, providing a platform for interns to engage with leadership while allowing me to demonstrate my ability to execute large-scale projects with professionalism and innovation. This led to a great response from interns and a greater attendance result than previous years.
