Jive Magazine is a hypothetical magazine centered on jazz music and other music that breaks genres and boundaries. This project focused on typography layout and pairings, especially pertaining to body copy. The visuals were inspired by the cutout and geometric aesthetics that defined the early album art of jazz music.





Experimentation was largely done in Illustrator for the project with type pairings, visual aesthetics, and layout. Here are some examples during that process.
